How To End The Summer Without Pain

Summer is coming to a close, and you may be trying to sneak in as much fun as possible in your last few days. Follow these tips to make sure you get the most out of this final push and start the school year healthy and strong.

Stretch it Out

Before you ride the waves with your friends or go on the family bike ride make sure you loosen up. Tight back muscles can cause serious injury so make sure you set aside a couple of minutes to fully warm up your muscles.

Dress Intentionally

Flip Flops are appropriate for most summer days, but make sure you are wearing supportive shoes before any strenuous activity. Wearing clothes that are loose and breathable will make it easier for your muscles to move freely.

Keep It Up

Consistent exercise will actually help prevent back pain. All of your favorite activities will keep your muscles moving, joints fluid, and prevent inflammation over time.

Eat Clean

While you may have indulged in summer fair food, now is the time to get back on track with healthy eating. Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables will ensure that your body is functioning properly, which benefits overall spine health.

Keep your back healthy and you’ll be able to get out and enjoy your favorite activities now, and into the fall. If you already over-did it this summer and are experiencing pain or discomfort, chiropractic care can help. We have methods to heal the body that can get you moving again.
